These terms

These terms of service are the agreement between you and Plant Powered IT (“we”) for Readable: the app at readable.md, the API, the MCP server and the command-line tool. By creating an account you accept them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

You need an account to run a tool. Give a real email address, keep your password and API keys secret, and tell us if someone else got in. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your keys. One person per account; you must be at least 16.

Plans, pages and payment

• Every plan comes with a number of pages per billing cycle and a maximum per run, shown on the pricing page. A page is 500 words; a text counts one page per started 500 words. Slop checks count none.
• Pages renew at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over.
• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in euros, through our payment processor. The price you see is the price you pay. The plan renews each month until you cancel.
• You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account. A canceled plan runs until the end of the period you paid for; we do not refund part of a month, unless the law requires it.
• We may change prices for the next billing cycle; we email you at least 30 days before, and you can cancel before it applies.

Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of buying it. When you start a paid plan you ask us to begin at once; if you then withdraw within the 14 days, we refund the price minus the part for the pages you used. To withdraw, email us within the 14 days.

Your content

Your texts and the results are yours. You give us only the permission we need to process them to run the tools for you, as the privacy policy describes. You must have the right to use what you submit, and you may not submit anything unlawful.

Acceptable use

Do not use Readable to break the law or anyone's rights; to attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service; to get around page limits (for example by sharing an account or opening several free accounts); or to resell access without our written permission. We may suspend accounts that do.

Results are not advice

Readable checks every rewrite against the original and keeps the original where a rewrite fails. Automated checks can still miss things. Read the result before you rely on it, and keep the original for anything that has legal, medical, financial or safety consequences. A simplified contract, letter or leaflet is not legal, medical or financial advice.

The service

We work to keep Readable fast and available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features; if we remove something central to a paid plan, you may cancel and we refund the unused part of the period.

Liability

Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit or lost data. These limits do not apply to intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow them, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time from your account page; a paid plan stops then without a refund for the rest of the cycle. We may end or suspend your account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and tell you why.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; we email account holders at least 30 days before a change that matters takes effect. Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, but as a consumer you keep the protection of the law and courts of the country where you live.
